Sofia Clausse explores different systems through art in an increasingly uncertain world. Everything reflects the artist’s continual interrogation of time, repetition and other such systematic ideas. The blue lines coiling around the canvas offer a stark contrast to the yellow background; they seem endless and are at times filled with star-shaped points that seem to interrupt the artist’s process.
The artist continues to explore questions around the ideas of cycles, time, translation. Defined by the incorporation of language, Sofia Clausse interrogates the limitations of text as well as the process of writing as a material.
