Han Mengyun’s interdisciplinary practice seeks alternative discourses within Western traditions by merging elements of Chinese philosophy, thus providing a strong structure to her work. Nirvana presents a rectangular slab of gold pigments that is framed by monochromatic acrylic layers, in turn creating a sort of mandala.
