Pool of Infinity is a series of wooden sculptures made by the AORA open call finalist Princess Pea. Inspired by and responding to the various manifestations of womanhood in her personal and professional life, the artist aims to communicate the significance of building a sense of community that traverses time. The abstract construction of each sculpture ensures a sense of anonymity, which may allow honesty and vulnerability that encourage constructive conversations. Scrubbed into shape manually, the sculptures elicit a sense of labour, and the making of each work aims to reflect the importance of telling collective stories.
